Well, just ask me if I’m fired up about this — and I’ll say “yes!”
The European Union commissioner for enterprise and industry, Antonio Tajani, has stated that getting to take a vacation to a foreign country is a basic human right. He put it thisaway:
Traveling for tourism today is a right. The way we spend our holidays is a formidable indicator of our quality of life,
Brussels has agreed, declaring that “tourism is a human right and pensioners, youths and those too poor to afford it should have their travel subsidised by the taxpayer…” It is expected that the European Union will subsidize about 30% of the cost.
NOW we are talking, eh?
If we can only get President Obama to agree with this (and why wouldn’t he?) — we’ll be packing our bags! Me and Momma are going to Milan or maybe Athens or Paris or someplace really exotic. And maybe, by the time we get there, housing will be a basic human right and they’ll give us a house to live in too!
Wow. VA-CA-SHUN! I’m sayin.
Is this a great time to be alive or what?

My, what an “enlightened” age we live in. I can remember, back in those old Neanderthal days when we had to pay for our own vacations or we didn’t go. My family and I have traveled over much of this country over the years and, though we are far from rich, we managed to do it with our own money.
But it seems that in our glorious new socialist future, it won’t work that way anymore. Now the welfare folks and various other deadbeats will get government-paid vacations, probably using my money for them. Granted, this may be about to happen in Europe right now, but how long before some muddle-headed legislator decides it’s a glorious idea for Americans too?
Just think of all the leftists in this country who manage to get around to all the left-wing demonstrations that are held; marches on Washington, and whatever. Maybe we can get the government to classify these gatherings as vacations so the feds can pay for them with our tax money. That way the rest of us would be too poor to attend any patriotic demonstrations unless they were held within 25 miles of home.

I think good wine and gourmet meals should be a basic human right also, that way you can eat really well on your taxpayer subsidized vacations.
Wow!
This article is messed up in a scary way. I would strongly disagree with that opinion of vacation being a human right.
It is true for one day (Sunday) as God had rested on the 7th day.
It is true that “travel” is a human right, but that should not be confused with vacation.
You have a choice. You can either stay in and support the government system that you are a human resource for, or correct your status and live free. This can be done without moving to the mountains, but you can’t have both at once.
You could stay in the system and protest/fight against it, but the creators of the game(system) aren’t going to change their rules(laws) for you.
So again I shall state, you can stay in and obey man’s doctrines(statutes), or get out and live God’s law.
