Today is the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution and I was just wondering what the Founders would think about the use of taxpayer money to help fund prostitution rings. I have no idea why that popped into my head . . . strange.
Just a thought

And child trafficking, too, I see. Oh, wait…some of the founding fathers did support that.
On the whole, I would take the Founding Fathers over today’s politicians any day. We are all sinners.
Oh, I would, too, Toby.
Awhile back I saw a joke where someone said that we should loan Iraq our Constitution seeing that we are not using it anymore. Sadly, that’s pretty close to the truth. I doubt if most politicians today in Washington even have a nodding acquaintance with the Constitution or its principles.
How much of the legislation in Congress presently would pass constitutional muster? Just about none of it would, but that doesn’t seem to bother the politicians and it doesn’t seem to bother most Americans either.
We blandly, even in the church, accept what our forefathers would have picked up their rifles and fought over.

In reaity, no taxpayer money was spent funding prostitution in this case. Although guilty of corruption, the vast majority of what ACORN does is advocate for the poor and minorities. This is a right wing witch hunt intended to score political points. People who need their services are being harmed.
